How to Submit Your Content for DuplicationFor the past ten years, CDROM2GO has been offering the best in DVD and CD duplication services. During that time, we have learned a lot about the questions and apprehensions that many first-time customers have about having discs professionally produced. One of the most frequently asked questions is about how to get your information to us.

There are two types of information we need in order to produce your discs: artwork and content. Before we talk about the different ways to get that material to us, I want to take a moment to explain what I’m talking about.

Artwork is all of the original graphic design files that will go on the disc or the packaging of your project. These files include the pictures, text, and graphics that you want to appear on the CD labels, jewel case or DVD cover. To ensure best print quality, we ask that you submit artwork that complies with our Artwork Requirements.

For text and logos, we request that they are in Vector format whenever possible. This ensures the artwork will look sharp and crisp at any size. For raster artwork such as pictures and backgrounds, we request that they be a minimum of 300 dpi to ensure proper printing. Templates are provided on our site for setting up your art files.

The other type of information is content. This includes all of the music, video, or data files that will be on your finished discs. Content should be tested thoroughly before submitting it for DVD / CD duplication. This means playing discs all the way through to ensure there are no skips or hiccups.

When you have both your artwork and your content ready to send to us, how do you go about doing it? There are two main ways of getting your information to us. One way is to use our Artwork Upload form. This allows customers to send their artwork files directly to us over the Internet. The advantage is that you can quickly send files to us that are too large for email.

One potential downside of this is that some files are still too large to efficiently send over the Internet. For example, if your CD artwork contains multiple high-resolution photos and is saved as a TIFF file with multiple layers, the total file size could easily be 300 MB or larger. Uploading files this large is not efficient, even with a Cable or DSL Internet connection. In this case, it’s best to burn the files on to a disc and send it to us in the mail.

Sending your content works much the same way. If you want a 75MB product catalog burned on your custom CD project, it’s no problem to upload that through our website. However, files such as DVD video and Blu-ray projects are often too large to send over the web. In this case, simply send us the copies of your master discs in the mail.

Major shipping carriers such as the USPS, UPS, and FedEx offer express envelopes that will get your content to us on the double! Remember, if you have any questions, you can always give one of our helpful sales associates a call at (877) 992-3766. They can answer any questions you might have about CD duplication services and any of the other services we offer.
