Product Alert: New DVD Case as Nexpak Replacement

By DigiChick · Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

Multi Disc Stacker CaseCDROM2GO’s multi DVD cases pick up right where a former packaging giant left off. Nexpak Corporation filed for bankruptcy twice in the last six years and its reign as a leading supplier of quality media packaging crumbled along with its finances. However, the essence of what made Nexpak media storage solutions so great lives on with new generations of DVD cases, including USDM’s 1” Stacker Case. The Stacker effectively works in the same capacity as its predecessor—the now defunct 8-Disc Versapak from Nexpak.

USDM’s black DVD case has one distinct difference over its discontinued counterpart: the method in which the discs are anchored into the case. The 8-disc Stacker holds the CDs or DVDs through an extended center hub molded to the disc’s right hand tray. In contrast, the Versapak used individual inserted disc holders resembling thick book pages that fan out when the case is opened.

At first glance, the Stacker Case for 8 discs looks like a bestseller paperback and consequently can be stored as easily as one: in a media library fit for a bookshelf, cabinet, closet or other preferred place of storage. Its dimensions measure a height of 7 ¾ inches by a width of 5 ¼ inches. Its one inch spine is also a fraction thinner than the Versapak.

The DVD case consists of durable black plastic that can withstand environmental elements that can damage the discs. Its plastic booklet clips and clear case cover translate into easy identification and organization. You can tailor the DVD package’s artwork from the inside out, enabling creative grouping such as theme selection or a table of contents for each Stacker case. CDROM2GO carries compatible custom entrapment inserts to help you with this process.

The price is also right for these multi DVD cases. The smallest units available are 40-packs, but before you balk at it, keep in mind that this pack of 8-disc cases will allow you to house well over 300 discs for under $30. The price per case only gets less expensive with the more you buy or the more cases you require.
