Blu-ray Experts Converge on Los Angeles for Blu-Con 2.0For anyone involved in the Blu-ray industry, today is a very important day. Today, hundreds of reporters and journalists will be walking the floor of the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles at the second Blu-ray Convention: Blu-Con 2.0.

It is here that industry giants such as Panasonic and Sony will feature their latest innovations for the world to see. Major movie studios including Lions Gate, 20th Century Fox, Warner Brothers, and Universal will also be present.

The Blu-Con 2.0 event is put on by the Digital Entertainment Group, which is a trade association of hardware and software manufacturers. This conference helps both parties maintain a close working relationship and helps promote the use of the Blu-ray format in markets around the world.

Blu-Con 2.0 features a variety of presentations and speeches related to the Blu-ray format. The star of the show is legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese who will be speaking about how Blu-ray impacts the movie experience. Other keynote speakers include Jessica Reif-Cohen of Merrill Lynch and Mike Vitelli of Best Buy.

Additionally, the schedule includes presentations about consumer adoption rates, portability, gaming, and more. A talk on the future of Blu-ray including 3D movies is also on the agenda. What this tells me is that as a next-gen media storage format, Blu-ray is definitely here to stay.

While the Blu-ray Convention is geared towards industry specialists, CDROM2GO puts Blu-ray technology in the hands of consumers. Their online storefront is an excellent source for Blu-ray duplicators such as the Accutower Blu plus blank Blu-ray media and printable Blu-ray media.

As Blu-ray continues to gain market share with consumers, the demand for Blu-ray services will also increase. Fortunately, CDROM2GO has got you covered there, too. Their Blu-ray duplication service is ready to produce quality Blu-ray discs for you in any quantity you need!

If you were in Los Angeles for the Blu-ray Convention, please post a comment and tell me about it!
