Flexible DVD Discs Bend to Your Needs

Flex Disc DVD ReplicationHow many times have you have ever broken a DVD disc on accident? If there’s one thing I have learned, it’s that discs do not like being shoved into pockets or mailed in flimsy cases. As tough as they are, DVDs can break if they are not handled carefully!

There are all sorts of disc packaging options available to keep your CDs and DVDs safe from damage, but why couldn’t the physical disc itself just be stronger? That is the idea behind the Flex Disc DVD! It’s the first optical disc that bends instead of breaking.

Flexible DVDs are a new spin on an old idea. The first Flexi-Discs appeared in the early 1960s and were used for marketing and promotional campaigns. These super-slim vinyl records could be bent, folded, and rolled up in magazines, newspapers, and pockets without breaking or fracturing. They provided an affordable way to distribute music or speech along with printed materials.

Although vinyl has given way to CDs and DVDs, the idea of a flexible disc is still relevant today. With Flex Disc, your DVD project can be bent, folded, twisted, and sent through the mail without fear of damage. Best of all, Flex Discs play back just like a standard DVD because they share the same standard size center hole.

By including a video with your magazine, newspaper, textbook, or other publication, you can deliver a high-impact presentation at a low cost. As a final note, I should mention that it is very hard to top the “WOW” factor of a flexible disc, especially for new customers or clients.

If you are considering the Flex Disc for your next DVD project, the experts at CDROM2GO are here to help! Just call us with any questions or to get more information. If you need to see it to believe it, then be sure to check out this video for a visual demonstration of the amazing Flex Disc.

I wish I would have known about that prior to our last mailing. We sent out 1,000 DVDs by mail and received a lot of complaints about broken discs!
