The Importance of Proper Packaging

Damaged DuplicatorOkay, quiz time. Can you tell me which of the Accutower DVD duplicator towers in the picture was shipped with inadequate packing material? If you guessed the tower on the right, give yourself a pat on the back.

In fact, we received these towers from two different customers. One customer needed a new power supply and the other needed a replacement drive (we replaced both free of charge under our standard 1-Year warranty). The difference is that one customer sent us their Accutower machine in the original box and the other did not.

The machine on the right arrived in a single cardboard box filled with packing peanuts and was clearly damaged during shipping. I have to say it does a good impression of the Leaning Tower of Pisa! The tower on the left was shipped in its original double-box with cushioning foam inserts. One tower survived the trip here and the other did not. Save yourself the trouble of filing a damage claim with the shipping company and pack your items carefully!

There’s a reason we double-box our machines, and you’re looking at it. We care about your equipment. We hope you never need to send your machine in for service, but if you ever should, please take care to pack it carefully. Like the old saying goes, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Don’t let this happen to you!
